ODP Tryouts

Posted by Nate Bywater at Oct 19, 2009 11:54AM PDT ( 0 Comments )

All,
ODP tryouts are coming up and the early registration deadline is this Thursday, Oct 22nd. For anyone interested in trying out, there will be a session in Logan and one in Layton.

This is a great opportunity for you to go up against some of the best players in the state. I would encourage you to make the commitment and push yourself outside your comfort zone and really see how you do.

You can contact Coach Bywater or Coach Cox with any questions.

Pioneer Cup

Posted by Nate Bywater at Jul 25, 2009 8:18PM PDT ( 0 Comments )

All,
We just finished our third tournament and by the end I’d say we grew substantially. The U18 team touched on almost every type of game you can have in this tournament and are taking a lot of learning lessons to the next tournament. We are upset with our semi-final lost where we lost to the #2 team in the state by a score of 2-1. We are anxious to take our lessons learned and take home a championship in our next tournament.
The younger players did well for us and gained a large amount of experience and I hope they look to teach their team mates.

Thanks to everyone who helped and came and supported the team.

Great Tournament Results

Posted by Nate Bywater at Jul 18, 2009 10:41PM PDT ( 0 Comments )

All,
We just finished up our second tournament and we did quite well as a club. Out of the 6 teams that entered the tournament, 4 of them were finalists. Unfortunately, we all took home the second place trophy, but we were the most represented club in the tournament finals.

Chet Bywater, coach of the U15 team received the coaches award for his age group and Alex Call received the MVP for the tournament in the U15 age group. Both awards were voted on by the other coaches and referees. Great Job guys!!

This is just the beginning of what we can accomplish as a club. I personally want to thank all the mangers for their help getting the players registered to play and all the coaches that put the time in to get them ready.

The U18 team played well and proved that they can compete with the premiere teams of the state. U15s showed that with a bit more work with one another, we can go a long way. Good work guys. Let’s keep it going.

Thanks
Nate
